PlayWell: 2–3 hours

A workshop created with the guidance of Emma Reynolds, Head of Learning and Development at Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England.

MHFA England delivers training courses that teach members of the public how to help a person who may be developing a mental health issue, experiencing a worsening of an existing mental health issue or in a mental health crisis. Like traditional first aid, Mental Health First Aid does not teach people to treat or diagnose mental health or substance use conditions. Instead, the training teaches people how to offer initial support until appropriate professional help is received or until the crisis resolves.

Now a trained Mental Health First Aider, Lauren has created a fun and informative workshop to help continue the conversation about the importance of Mental Wellbeing. Through improvisation and clowning games, the workshop will help to understand and encourage conversation around causes, symptoms, and possible support options for a range of mental health issues.
